Nintendo counts profits, yet is stumped on next generation.

Nintendo counts profits, yet is stumped on next generation.

"It's me! Marioooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
   "It's me! Marioooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
After the past couple of years, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo have all sat back and enjoyed seeing the money roll in. Especially with the rise in young gaming console users, who's one living wish is that this Christmas they are the only kid in town with a 7th gen. However, after every kid in the city has gone through this phase, it's not hard to judge how many of them are bored of their 7th gen, which means they're all waiting for the same thing - Generation 8.

Although they are still counting the $992 Million profit they have made this quarter, or the massive $3.9 Billion they have achieved through the retail of their fantastic product, Nintendo are still preparing new hardware ready for generation 8. "We are always preparing for the next hardware. We are under development," said Nintendo's own, Satoru Iwata. However, according to Chris Morris, fans have been warned not to expect too much this time around:

"Every hardware needs some revolutionary features. This time around, it happened to be we had a revolutionary user interface. Will it be the same for the next generation? I really can't tell. It's natural for the current customer to expect Nintendo is going to once again do something different. If the people are expecting so many different things from Nintendo, it's going to be difficult for us to go beyond that expectation again."

So really, eventhough they are planning for it, not even Nintendo have a clue what to do next - Let's just hope it involves more user interaction, like REAL virtual reality!
