Featured Firefox Extension: MeeTimer. *Firefox Only MeeTimer is a free Firefox extension which helps monitor what you are doing on your computer. The idea is that it can help encourage you to do more work, by showing you percentages of your work hours spent on certain websites. Basically, after the installation, you can simply visit websites and add them to certain categories, such as Work, Search, Procastination and communication. This then registers how long you aare on certain sites for, adds them up, and then gives you a total of how much time you have spent doing each of the 4 categories.
You are able to add your own categories too, meaning if some sites you visit for help on using a program, you can put it in a category called "Assistance" or "Help," or if you are researching information to write about in your blog, you can place that website in a category called "Research."
Of course, you CAN cheat with this and turn your Facebook, Myspace and Fantasy Football into websites which help you with "work," however, in doing this, you will eventually get caught. Clicking on the options menu for the program, you can get more detailed statistics of your explorations. This includes telling your boss exactly what websites you've been on and for how long. Download MeeTimer now.
