HAPPY NEW YEAR CH READERS!

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and we also hope you have a fantastic new year. Is your resolution is to lose weight, be more open to other peoples ideas or to simply saving money for a HD TV? See what I did there? High Definition... Resolution... I crack myself up!

We all have our hopes up for the 2009 economy, and we are all looking forward to seeing what this new year can bring us. Well, we at the CH super secret underground hideout have a few ideas. Here are a few things we've been hearing:

1. In either 2009, or maybe 2010, we will be seeing the worlds first MMO with a storyboard, characterisation, all combined with something that we all should love. Star Wars! Thats right. Bioware, who we can't really say much bad about, have announced that they are in the works of creating a World Of Warcraft-esque game which not only changes the face of the MMO, but also the way it works. With such features as storyboards, killing the wrong person because you were simply bored of gathering supplies could send you down a dark, dark path of difficulty. And the best part - There ain't no coming back!

2. Also to look forward to, those of you who care about it anyway, is the idea that High Definition TV will actually be classified as SDTV. What does the 'S' stand for?! Well, 'Standard.' That's right, HDTV will slowly start becomming the standard household television, meaning pretty much EVERYTHING will be hi-def. Adverts, Sports, Game Shows and my favourite - PriceDrop!

3. Broadband speeds. Just think about it, in the past year, we've made so much progress with the speed of our Internet connections, and it's just going to keep rising all the time. So 2009, I say we'll be getting a standard connection of say - 48Mbs? Now that sounds good!

4. More iPhone Apps. That's all I can really say about that...

5. Plica. Plica is a phone with touchscreen capabilties, pretty much everything you're going to need on it, but you really can't say "No!" because it's just so cool. The word "plica" is a zoological term referring to the folding of a body part. And that's just the right way to describe the phone. As it has 2 touchscreens, which fold out to give you one massive display making it great for GPRS, journey planning or even looking at pictures.
