The Wii turns a bargain into an empty bank account.
Antony Hatton

The Wii turns a bargain into an empty bank account.

The Nintendo Wii started off as great value for money, and this has shown through the sales over it's time, however, has the increase in Wii peripherals drawn you in without you realising?

June 8th, 2009 (US release date) will see the release of the Wii MotionPlus peripheral, designed to increase your Wii's motion sensitivity and make the gaming experience so much more memorable than before. But has anyone stopped to think about how this is going to affect the cost of the Wii?

First, you have a Wii Remote controller, costing you around £30 - £40, then the Nunchuck which sets you back a further £20, and now add the Wii MotionPlus to your collection for another £20. That's £80 for just one controller, or £320 for a family of four! Add the price of the console and the games you obviously need and you're spending more money than you originally anticipated.

And I bet most of you didn't even think about that!
